SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH has tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will, through the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Russian Federation, continue talks with the competent institutions of that country with the aim of creating an opportunity for the temporary exhibition of the original Charter of Ban Kulin at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This highest-level event would be of exceptional importance for improving relations in the field of culture between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Russian Federation and would allow the citizens of BiH to get acquainted with one of the most valuable cultural assets of our country.
This was concluded after the Council of Ministers of BiH was informed about the Information from the Ministry of Civil Affairs on the implementation of the conclusion of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 112th session of August 30, 2017.
In practice, this would continue the talks that BiH representatives previously initiated with the Russian side for the original document of the Charter of Ban Kulin, which is kept in the library of the Russian Academy of Sciences, to be temporarily exhibited in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Charter of Ban Kulin was written 829 years ago, by the hand of the Bosnian ruler Ban Kulin, and is of immeasurable importance for the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the first known diplomatic document issued by a Bosnian ruler to the ruler of another state.
