BiH will continue to export meat to Turkey in 2017.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović said that from January to June this year, 6,100 tons of deboned meat were exported from BiH to Turkey, or in gross amount, that is 14,000 tons.

Of the total amount of meat exported from BiH to Turkey, two-thirds are from the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, and one-third from the territory of the Federation of BiH. Most was exported from Semberija, Posavina, and Bosanska Dubica.

Šarović said that the arrangement on meat exports between BiH and Turkey in 2016 passed without abuse, unlike the previous year, which is a sign that the control system has been improved. He also added that it is almost certain that meat exports from BiH to Turkey will continue in 2017, likely in a larger quantity, writes Patria.
