Biden laments COVID victims and calls for calm in presidential race

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate leading the race for US President, made a very brief statement about the current state of the presidential race, speaking at the Queen Theatre in Wilmington, Delaware.

Biden noted that the country is approaching 240,000 deaths from the coronavirus and expressed his sympathy for Americans who have lost loved ones to the virus.

Speaking about the presidential election results, Biden once again emphasized that election officials must count every valid vote.

"In America, a vote is sacred," Biden said.

"Every ballot must be counted," he added.

Biden noted that he and his running mate for vice president, Kamala Harris, "still feel very good" about the final outcome of the race.

"We have no doubt that when the count is finished, Senator Harris and I will be declared the winners," Biden said.

As Americans remain on edge while awaiting the declaration of a winner in the presidential race, Biden said, "I ask everyone to remain calm.".
