Biden hinted at progress in Gaza ceasefire talks

(Patria) - US President Joe Biden yesterday hinted at progress in ongoing diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Biden stated on the platform X that both Israel and Hamas have agreed to the "framework" he outlined six weeks ago.

At the end of May, Biden detailed a three-phase proposal aimed at achieving a ceasefire.

This included the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza and Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, Israel's withdrawal from Gaza, and the reconstruction of the coastal enclave.

"Although there is still work to do, my team is making progress and I am determined to achieve this," said the US President.
