(Patria) - US President Joe Biden stated in an interview with ABC that a general war is possible in the Middle East, but also that a ceasefire is possible.
- A general war is possible, but we are still in the game for a solution that could fundamentally change the entire region - Biden said.
He reiterated the importance of finding a two-state solution in Palestine and that the path to ensuring such an outcome is still open.
- There is a way to do it, and the actors there, I don't want to exaggerate, but they have the possibility to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon, as well as in the West Bank and Gaza. I am using every bit of energy I have with my team to achieve this - Biden emphasized.
The fear of escalation continues to grow, as Israel prepares for a possible ground invasion, and Hezbollah awaits the reaction of its biggest ally - Iran.
