(Patria) - US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump will meet on Wednesday at the White House at Biden's invitation, the White House spokesperson said on Saturday, Reuters reported.
Trump will take office on January 20 after defeating current Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election on November 5.
"At the invitation of President Biden, President Biden and President-elect Trump will meet on Wednesday in the Oval Office," said Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in a statement.
"I will see him on Wednesday," Biden told reporters on Saturday when asked if Trump poses a threat to democracy.
Biden spoke after leaving a church service in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he traveled for the weekend. The President did not answer questions about what he would say to Trump.
