(Patria) - United States President Joe Biden called Donald Trump and congratulated him on his victory in the presidential elections and invited him to meet at the White House.
The White House, in a statement after Trump defeated Democratic Party Vice President Kamala Harris for the US presidency, said Biden is also committed to "ensuring a smooth transition and emphasized the importance of working to bring the country together," Reuters reported.
Biden also spoke with Kamala Harris, it was added.
Biden will address the nation today.
