SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has received a request from the Embassy of Ukraine in Bosnia and Herzegovina requesting a meeting between the ambassador and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković, BHRT has learned.
According to the request, the meeting should be held in January, and the topic is the icon that the BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik gifted to the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, which the Embassy of Ukraine stated represents Ukrainian cultural heritage.
As we learn from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, the diplomatic note states that relations between the two countries will also be discussed at the meeting.
The media also report that the Ambassador of Ukraine to BiH is requesting a meeting with the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Gordana Tadić.
We remind that Lavrov returned the icon, which was brought to Bosnia and Herzegovina by our country's ambassador to Russia, Željko Samardžija, and handed it over to the office of the BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik.
