Last night, the BH Telecom Contact Center recorded several user reports complaining about fake SMS messages regarding credit top-ups sent from the number 062 414 295, reports the news agency Patria.
In the reported cases, it is an attempt to misuse the m-commerce service by sending a user an SMS message stating that their user number has been credited, and then requesting the refund of the amount paid because "a mistake was made".
It was determined that users receive messages of a similar nature from other user numbers, not from the service number 0611171 for the m-commerce service, and the recipient's user account is not credited with the amount stated in the message.
In the mentioned cases, it is a fraud or an attempted fraud against users through a system message of the m-commerce service. Checks of all recorded user reports are underway, and after the results are obtained, activities will be undertaken against the users of the disputed Ultra numbers from which the malicious SMS messages originate.
- We hereby warn all BH Telecom users to pay attention to the number from which the message originates if they receive a message about credit top-up or messages of a similar nature. A valid message that provides m-commerce service, i.e., credit top-up, is only a message sent from the service number 0611171 - BH Telecom announced.
In case users receive an SMS message about an Ultra credit top-up from a user number, please report the case to the free customer support service number 1444.
