BH Telecom and Director of Autoceste FBiH Voloder Reject Elmedin Konaković's Accusations

(Patria) - Following today's statements and accusations by NIP President and BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković against BH Telecom and the Director of JP Autoceste FBiH, these two companies have issued denials of the claims made.

"Regarding the untrue statement by Elmedin Konaković at today's press conference of the 'Trojka' (The Three), that the SDA party is misusing the company BH Telecom by 'sending hundreds of thousands of messages to NiP members,' we inform the public, as we did during similar accusations in the past, of the following: The Bulk SMS service mentioned by Mr. Elmedin Konaković is a standard service that, according to BH Telecom's Price List and General Terms and Conditions, can be contracted by all entities registered as legal entities by the Ministry, provided they possess their own user base for sending Bulk SMS messages and the consent of the end-users for sending Bulk SMS messages. The BH Telecom service price list is public and transparent, and published on the official website of BH Telecom.

BH Telecom currently has approximately 100 legal entities with this type of contract, including several political parties. BH Telecom is a public company that contributes the most to the budget of the Federation of BiH and operates in accordance with all applicable legal regulations. Therefore, such qualifications and the dissemination of inaccurate information mislead the public and damage the reputation of BH Telecom," the reaction states.

The Director of Autoceste FBiH, Elmedin Voloder, stated in his reaction that he rejects the accusations made by Konaković.

"Because the subject is either fiction or malice on the part of the said person. I have never promised to give any money or gift to any individual or party. As the director of a public enterprise, I am aware of the role and significance of the position I hold, and thus the responsibility I have, so I do not engage in daily politics nor do I influence political events. I have also heard stories around town that the so-called 'Trojka' has been engaged in what he accuses me of and buying deputies, and now they are accusing others without any proof of actions they themselves are engaged in.

I have enough life experience, private and business success, and I would never allow myself to influence anyone's stance in such a way and commit a potentially criminal offense. This is not the first time Mr. Konaković has made untrue and slanderous statements directed at me and others. It is not appropriate for a state minister who represents us in the world to resort to daily political deceptions and lies, and the aforementioned behavior is also shameful from a human perspective. I have an honorable family, and I have no stain on my private or business life, and I have no reason or need to engage in anything that is not befitting a normal person," says Voloder.
