After the murder of Zemir Begić, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian community in St. Louis is concerned, as a new attack has occurred, this time on a Bosnian woman who was beaten, US media report.
About 70,000 of our citizens live in St. Louis, and the situation became even more uncertain when another attack occurred on Friday morning, this time on a 26-year-old Bosnian woman.
St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson told Fox2 that the attackers threatened to harm her because she is Bosnian.
- This indicates that she was targeted either because she is Bosnian or that the attack continued and escalated after the attackers discovered this. I am very concerned about this, so we are investigating the case as a hate crime – Dotson said.
