Bosnian actor Nermin Tulić had a stroke

Bosnian actor Nermin Tulić was hospitalized today due to a stroke. FK Željezničar, of which Tulić is a big fan and attended the opening of the east stand on April 1st, wished him a speedy recovery and expressed support for his family, writes Patria.

Tulić is known for his witty, yet sharp tweets in which he praises and criticizes social phenomena in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He was born on January 5, 1952, in Sarajevo. He graduated in 1978 from the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Performing Arts. He built his career in film, television, radio, and theater.

At the beginning of the war, he was hit by a shell, losing both legs, but even after this tragedy, he returned to the work he loved. In 1993, he became the director of the Youth Theater Sarajevo.

He always put the theater stage first, and some of the plays he acted in include: "King Lear", "Bašeskija, a Dream of Sarajevo", "Beauty and the Beast", "If This Were a Play". Some of the films he acted in include: "Ghosts of Sarajevo", "Go West", "Summer in the Golden Valley", "Everything for Free".

He has received many awards, including the "Golden Laurel Wreath" for his contribution to the MESS theater art in 1998, Actor of the Year BH Radio in 2006, and Actor of the Year Radio Sarajevo in 1990.
