BH-Gas: We have no payment relief, we ask citizens to settle their obligations

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - BH-Gas informs the public that the supply of natural gas to BiH is proceeding without problems and that the necessary and ordered quantities of natural gas are being delivered by foreign partners. At the same time, BH-Gas, in accordance with the signed contracts, has made advance payments to natural gas transporters through Hungary and Serbia for the month of April 2020. The invoice for the supplied natural gas for February 2020 has also been settled, thus creating the conditions for the continuation of the regular supply of natural gas to all consumers.

What can be noticed is that the consumption of natural gas has increased in the past few days and that, despite the decline in economic activities, it has almost returned to the level characteristic of this time of year. In relation to the above, and as much as possible in relation to the coronavirus situation and considering that it is an imported energy source, we ask all business entities and distribution companies to respect the payment deadlines. We do not want this request or appeal to be misunderstood, as natural gas, like oil, is an imported energy source and the obligation to pay is a condition for security of supply. We understand the decision made regarding the payment of obligations for persons over 65 years of age and we will adjust our business (we will put all resources into regular settlement of obligations) to this relief for pensioners.

BH-Gas is doing everything to maintain the level of payments to foreign partners at the level of contracted deadlines, because no partner has granted payment relief, nor do we have any announcements regarding it.

As the heating season is still ongoing and the system's safety must not be jeopardized, not only in terms of settling obligations, the maintenance service for the gas system is operational and in a way that these obligations are fulfilled through formed teams, and we are doing everything to ensure that all consumers are regularly supplied with natural gas.
