BH-Gas Drowning in Debt, Companies from RS Taking Over State Gas Market!

While in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina there is debate and discussion about the state of BH Gas company, Republika Srpska has already leased transport capacities and is importing gas for its needs, writes the Patria news agency. Now Alumina is doing it – the former “Birač”, and “Gas Res” has obtained a license for trading and supplying natural gas.

Namely, from a report by the Government of RS, specifically the Ministry of Energy, it is evident that “Gas Res” has a license for trading and supplying natural gas, “Bijeljina gas” has a license for trading and supplying natural gas, “Energy Prime” RS Trebinje has a license for trading and supplying natural gas, “Alumina” also possesses a license for trading and supplying and imports gas for its own needs from a Hungarian supplier.

“Alumina” (as a supplier) directly imports gas for its own needs from Hungary and is currently the only consumer in RS that is not supplied with gas through BH Gas.

Further in the Report, it is stated that it is possible to transport gas from Hungarian storage facilities to BiH through Serbia.

- There is leased transport capacity (for supplying consumers in Republika Srpska) through Hungary and Serbia. If suppliers secure gas from the gas storage in Hungary, then it is possible to use the already leased transport capacity through Hungary and Serbia. “Alumina” d.o.o. has leased gas transit on an interruptible basis through Serbia until July 1, 2015 – the report states.

Furthermore, Patria learns that precisely for these reasons, they do not want to provide information about turnover, as a part of that turnover is already being conducted in RS.

- Do you need better proof than this Report of how RS is slowly taking over consumers, and the Federation of BiH, BH-Gas has no way to defend itself from these intentions. “Alumina” procures gas cheaper than BH-Gas and consumes it, while BH-Gas watches its market disappear. Everyone is hiding this, and while we are talking, gas companies are working, and they are only leaving us with debts – says our source.
