Bosnia and Herzegovina's Ambassador Nedim Makarević Participated in the "UN 70" Festival in Pakistan

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the United Nations, the UN in Pakistan organized the "UN 70" festival aimed at informing the public about the work of its 19 agencies, reports the Patria News Agency.  

-The festival offers an opportunity to highlight the role of many participants involved in development and humanitarian work in Pakistan, including governments, member states, donor agencies, civil society, and the media, says the director of the "UN Info Center" Vittorio Cammarota, adding that the festival was organized through joint efforts of the UN in Pakistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Information of Pakistan.

Nedim Makarević, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pakistan, was invited to address the audience at the festival's closing evening and to take an active part in the program, where he emphasized the importance of the UN in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in Pakistan, where the UN has undertaken 71 peacekeeping initiatives since its establishment, and Pakistanis have participated in 41 peacekeeping missions worldwide.

-This is a great opportunity for the UN to try to reach the public, who can learn about various thematic events that highlight the positive work of the UN in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan, said Makarević.
