NO DETENTION The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office did not provide any evidence that the suspects threw an explosive device at Čengić's house

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo rejected the proposal of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office to impose one-month detention on two suspects in the case of throwing an explosive device at the houses of the Mayor of Old Town Sarajevo Municipality Irfan Čengić and councilor Vedad Deljković.

Spokesperson for the Municipal Court in Sarajevo Amra Hodžić told Patria that the court made this decision because the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office did not provide any evidence that the suspects committed the criminal offense they are charged with.

At yesterday's hearing for determining detention, the prosecutor stated that the alibi of the two suspects, who denied committing the criminal offense of causing general danger, was not verified.

One of the suspects stated that he has video surveillance at his house and that it can be checked where he was at the time the explosive device was thrown at the house of Mayor Irfan Čengić.

On the other hand, the suspects pointed out that they are not in contact and have not seen each other for more than two years.

At yesterday's session of the Sarajevo Cantonal Assembly on the security situation in Sarajevo Canton, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton Admir Katica stated that this criminal offense has been solved.

If the acting judge of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo assessed that there is no evidence that the two young men committed the criminal offense, how did the minister conclude that the criminal offense has been solved.
