Belgrade: Rally in support of Nedić's rehabilitation and counter-protest, police on site

BELGRADE, (Patria) - On the anniversary of Milan Nedić's death, a rally in support of his rehabilitation and a counter-protest are being held simultaneously in the city center. A large number of police officers are on site.

The organizations "Srpski carostavnik" and "Srbska akcija - podvig i borba" are listed as organizers of the rally. On the other hand, supporters of DS, LDP, and activists from the list "Ne davimo Beograd" are protesting the rally.

Police forces are separating these two groups.

Candidates for councilors of the Liberal Democratic Party opposed the rally organized by "Srpska akcija" today, aimed at supporting the rehabilitation of Milan Nedić and promoting his crimes.

- Freedom means that everyone has the right to gather, express their opinion, and fight for their views - except when it comes to fascism. We did not back down, we opposed them, and in the end, they left because they received a clear message - Belgrade is not a city of fascism and never will be. We owe a debt to hundreds of thousands of victims of Nazism and fascism, and in the name of that debt, we gathered today - said LDP councilor candidate Đorđo Žujović.

LDP candidates carried a banner "Fascism will not pass" and told "Srpska akcija" that there is no place for promoting fascism in Belgrade, and that Belgrade and its citizens must oppose those who promote the policy of quislings at all times and in all places.
