(Patria) - The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has ordered the police and basic public prosecutor's offices to impose detention of up to 48 hours for anyone who would today carry out an attack on journalists reporting from events in Belgrade.
The detention order also applies to attacks on members of the Ministry of Interior who are tasked with maintaining order and peace at the events.
The organizers of "Europride 2022" have scheduled a protest march for today at 5:30 PM from the Constitutional Court to the Tašmajdan stadium, after the police banned the march within the event that was planned along a different route.
Despite the ban by the Ministry of Interior, opponents of Europride, including numerous right-wing organizations, have also announced a march. Their route is still unknown, but it is assumed that it will most likely be from the Temple of Saint Sava in Vračar.
