Belgrade: Protest organizers demand release of arrested individuals by tomorrow 3 PM

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Demonstrators led by the leaders of the Alliance for Serbia arrived today shortly before 4 PM in front of the police station on 29. Novembra Street. In front of the police station is a police cordon. Despota Stefana Boulevard is blocked.

In front of the police station on Despota Stefana Boulevard, along with the demonstrators, are the parents of those arrested for yesterday's intrusion into the Radio Television of Serbia building, as well as lawyers. Dveri leader Boško Obradović called on the Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, Nebojša Stefanović, who is in the police station courtyard, to come out and talk to the parents of the arrested children.

He called on the police to arrest the leaders of the Alliance for Serbia and stated that they would not invoke parliamentary immunity.

Obradović told the Progressives not to even think about bringing out supporters to confront citizens and not to start a civil war.

In front of the police station are Vuk Jeremić, Dragan Đilas, Zoran Lutovac, Marinika Tepić, Nebojša Zelenović, Borko Stefanović.

Meanwhile, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, left the Presidency building. Some citizens gathered at Andrićev venac shouted at him, and he just waved, got into a car, and drove away. Vučić was blocked for a full three hours in the Serbian Presidency building because the gathered citizens blocked all exits. 

Boško Obradović addressed the citizens, stating that they are the future of Serbia.

"We have done several very important things today. Last night, we proved that RTS belongs to all citizens of Serbia. We have the right to the voice of the opposition, we have the right to know everything. Allow us to congratulate all the young people who were with us and are now in prison because they were brave. There is no more time for ideological and political differences, we have one goal: to see the end of Aleksandar Vučić."

All arrested individuals, about ten of them, have been evacuated and sent to various misdemeanor courts in Belgrade, where they are facing different measures, from 48-hour detention to 30 days in prison. 

"Some of them are only 18 years old, and they have been sentenced to 30 days in prison. We demand the release of the arrested. If they are not released by tomorrow at 3 PM, the organizers will announce when we will gather again, and their end is near."

Obradović reiterated the demand that a representative of the organizers of "One in Five Million" must appear on RTS's Dnevnik (News program). President Vučić announced a new address to the public tonight on Pink television.
