(Patria) - A popular destination for low-cost airlines - Charleroi Airport near Brussels - has been declared the worst airport in the world by business travelers, reported the Business Financing portal.
With the full name "Brussels South Charleroi", this airport is located about 50 kilometers or a 45-minute bus ride from the Belgian capital.
It has a bad reputation among business travelers due to disorganization and chronic overcrowding, especially at Terminal 1 (T1), reports Punkufer.
On Skytrax's Airline Quality platform, passengers gave this airport a disastrous average rating of 1.2 out of a maximum of 10.
German airport Berlin-Brandenburg and British Leeds-Bradford, also considered extremely poor, received only slightly better ratings.
London Luton and London Stansted also fared poorly in the survey - both airports known for requiring a long journey to the center of the English capital.
On the other hand, the best ratings were given to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam.
"The terminals are extremely clean, and the airport staff are very friendly. There is an excellent selection of food available," wrote one reviewer about the airport in the Vietnamese capital, which received an average rating of 6.8.
Singapore Changi Airport is in second place among the best airports for business travelers, and Hong Kong International ranks third on this list.
