Bećirović with the Ambassador of Ukraine: Strengthening Political and Diplomatic Relations of Two Friendly States

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović received the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Volodymyr Bachynsky, for an inaugural visit today.

Bećirović wished Ambassador Bachynsky a successful term as the first resident ambassador of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that this is an important step in strengthening the political and diplomatic relations of two friendly states.

During the meeting, Bećirović highlighted Bosnia and Herzegovina's consistent support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina bases its foreign policy on the principles of international law, including respect for the United Nations Charter.

The member of the BiH Presidency recalled Bosnia and Herzegovina's active participation in international initiatives in solidarity with Ukraine, including a visit to Kyiv, participation in the Crimea Platform, the International Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine, and the recently held Paris Peace Forum - panel "Ending the War in Ukraine: Building Paths to Peace and Recovery".

Bećirović emphasized the importance of continuously strengthening the partnership and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine.

Ambassador Bachynski emphasized readiness for further building the partnership relations of two friendly states, with special thanks from Ukraine for the continuous support it receives from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
