Bećirović: NATO is the true guarantor of our security and development

Lukavac, (PATRIA) - Candidate for the BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović stated last night in Lukavac that Bosnia and Herzegovina will surely become a member of the NATO pact, which is a priority interest of all citizens.

- Bosnia and Herzegovina will be a member of NATO. Our country will be protected by military forces such as the USA, Great Britain, Germany, and other proven friends of our homeland from the EU, shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces of BiH. NATO helped Bosnia and Herzegovina preserve its sovereignty during the aggression, NATO is the true guarantor of our security and development in peace.

Individuals who dispute our country's accession to this military pact are clearly afraid of the stability that it will bring to Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, they can slow down these processes, but they can neither dispute nor stop them. Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EU and NATO means Bosnia and Herzegovina of satisfied, secure citizens. Those who do not want prosperity and security for the citizens are clearly afraid for their own property and freedom.

On the day when the flags of the EU and NATO fly alongside the flag of our homeland, all stories about its endangerment will end, all ambitions of its occupation or division will be buried. We will approach that day with the speed at which we change our consciousness and elect officials to key state positions who look to the West and strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina's alliances with our Western partners, instead of seeking allies in preserving their private power and personal interests, wherever they can find them - concluded Bećirović.
