Bećirović: Enough ethnic divisions, let's focus on the economy

SANSKI MOST, (Patria) - Candidate for the BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović stated yesterday in Sanski Most that ethnic and other divisions are not the solution for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but rather a focus on the economy and Euro-Atlantic integration.

- Fortunately, the foundations of our state are strong and have been 'deep' for centuries. We must state that the majority of people in Bosnia and Herzegovina want their compatriots in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina who promote openness and togetherness. Citizens must show that we are not a collection of feuding tribes, but a European state with a millennia-old tradition of coexistence. It must finally be clearly shown that this is a country where citizens responsibly elect leaders who nurture Bosnian-Herzegovinian, as well as European values of unity in diversity - said Bećirović.

Finally, Denis Bećirović stated that "Bosnia and Herzegovina has its future in the European Union.

- Our past is proof that we can, know how to, and want to survive and live together, no matter what hardships befall us and no matter who tries to divide us. It is important that we learn and apply the lessons from the past in order to realize our strategic goals, which are the European Union and NATO, as soon as possible.

In addition to Dr. Denis Bećirović, promoters Mr. Jasmin Emrić, Saša Magazinović, Nerkez Arifhodžić, Mr. Ferid Buljubašić, Asst. Prof. Dr. Albin Muslić, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Benjamina Londrc spoke at the promotion of the book "The State of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Focus".
