
SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Public Health Institute of Sarajevo Canton has received BCG vaccines from the Program of Mandatory Vaccinations of the Federation of BiH, procured by the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH. They were first distributed to the maternity wards of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo and the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", as well as to the points of the JU Health Center of Sarajevo Canton, in accordance with the distribution schedule of the Hygiene-Epidemiological Service of the Health Center of Sarajevo Canton.
Newborns have been receiving the BCG vaccine in maternity wards since the end of last month, while children who missed receiving the BCG vaccine in the maternity ward during the past period will be duly vaccinated upon their first contact with the pediatric service of the KS Health Center, about which parents have already received instructions to report to their designated pediatrician for the BCG vaccine administration.
