The Banking Agency of FBiH yesterday sent a draft recommendation to the Association of Banks of BiH on a moratorium on loans for legal and natural persons who suffered damage in last month's floods, confirmed the Director of the Agency Zlatko Barš to the BiH news agency Patria.
- We sent it yesterday to the Association of Banks for comments and I hope they will adopt it by the end of the month – said Barš.
We remind you that the Financial Stability Committee of BiH, at its session in early June, stated that in order to facilitate the business of economic entities, as well as natural persons who suffered damage, a moratorium should be introduced for a period of one year, but with documentation proving the damage caused by the natural disaster.
Mijo Mišić, Executive Secretary of the Association of Banks of BiH, said at the time that each bank has its own policy and that it is good that there are no linear solutions. He noted that the banks had a similar stance as the members of the Financial Stability Committee, and that banks should act interventionally with the most affected clients, writes Patria.
