Barack Obama condemned racist violence: No one is born hating, it is learned

Former US President Barack Obama's comment on the violent protests in Charlottesville is the most popular in Twitter's history, reports Patria News Agency.

Obama on his profile on Saturday posted a brief reflection on racist attacks in the US, quoting Nelson Mandela, Telegram writes.

- No one is born hating others because of their skin color, origin, or religion - Obama wrote in the first tweet, which has so far been shared 1,204,357 times and liked by 2,955,405 people.

He also shared an appropriate photo of himself with children of different races.

In the next two tweets, he continued to quote Mandela's thought.

- People must learn to hate, and if they can learn hate, they can be taught to love... Because love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite - Obama wrote.

These two tweets also achieved great popularity, but this first one broke records on this social network.

The second most popular tweet is by singer Ariana Grande, who after the bombing attack in Manchester, which occurred at her concert, shared an emotional tweet that was liked by 2,703,448 Twitter users.

US President Donald Trump again caused a stir yesterday by saying that the culprits for the violence in Charlottesville should be sought "on both sides", thus trying to equate the far-right activists who organized the rally in that city in Virginia with the demonstrators who came to express their displeasure with their gathering.

His statement is contrary to the official statement he made on Monday at the White House, in which, belatedly but openly, he condemned the unacceptable "racist violence".
