
BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Police officers of the Banja Luka Police Administration arrested and questioned a man identified as S.Š. from Banja Luka on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Falsely reporting a criminal offense".
Namely, on May 2, S.Š. reported to the Banja Luka Police Administration that unknown persons physically assaulted him in a parking lot on Vidovdan Street in Banja Luka, causing him head and body injuries, and then stole his wallet.
After receiving the report, police officers took a series of operational and investigative measures and actions based on which they determined contradictions in the received report, and no traces were found at the scene where the complainant stated he was attacked that would indicate that the incriminating act had been committed.
Furthermore, police officers, as stated in the police report, determined that the person sustained injuries from a fall on Vase Pelagić Street because he was intoxicated, and that no one had injured him or stolen his wallet.
The duty district public prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka was informed of all findings, who ordered that the necessary measures and actions be taken to document the criminal offense of "Falsely reporting a criminal offense" and that a report be submitted against S.Š. in the regular procedure.
