Banjaluka resident suspected of pedophilia handed over to Bijeljina Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - A resident of Banjaluka, identified by initials M.S., suspected of sexual exploitation of a child, has been handed over to the jurisdiction of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina.

Police officers of the Unit for High-Tech Crime of the Criminal Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska yesterday, as part of the ongoing operational action "Karika" in the Bijeljina area, arrested M.S. from Banjaluka.

- The individual was arrested on suspicion of committing criminal offenses of exploiting computer networks or communication through other technical means to commit criminal offenses of sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, the criminal offense of exploiting children for pornography, and the criminal offense of introducing children to pornography - stated the MUP RS.

They say that he is suspected of having contacted children in the previous period using social networks and communication applications, after which he communicated in a sexually explicit manner, sending photos and videos with sexually explicit content.

- He asked the child to take sexually explicit photos and make sexually explicit videos, and to send him such photos and videos, after which, through the aforementioned communication, he persistently arranged a meeting for sexual intercourse or an equivalent sexual act, and to which meeting he arrived on 03.12.2025, at which time he was arrested - stated the MUP RS.
