(Patria) - Advisor to the Director of RS Police Dragan Simić and his two sons Marko and Miloš were arrested today in Banja Luka, it was unofficially confirmed for Nezavisne novine.
- Dragan and one of his sons physically attacked police officers, who had previously stopped Marko in traffic for driving without a license and whom they were trying to test for drug presence - this media outlet's source reveals.
The police announced that two officers were injured in this attack and were sent for medical assistance. The duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka was informed about the incident.
Incidentally, Marko Simić was also arrested a year ago in the "Nišan 3" operation, on suspicion of possessing about 5.5 kilograms of marijuana in the trunk of his car. He was later released, but was subjected to restrictive measures, requiring him to report to the police every three days.
During the interrogation at the prosecutor's office at the time, Simić had an appointed lawyer, but he later renounced him and requested a court-appointed lawyer.
The court appointed him a court-appointed lawyer, Branislav Cvijanović from Banja Luka, who did not appear at the detention hearing because the court-appointed lawyers were on strike at the time, so Simić benefited from this - to be free, as hearings could not be held without a lawyer.
