Banja Luka: Duo arrested, drug lab, ammunition and cash found

Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector of the Public Security Center Banja Luka, in cooperation with the District Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka, conducted searches at four locations and searched two passenger vehicles in the area of the City of Banja Luka and Laktaši, reports the Patria News Agency.

During the searches, equipment and materials for the laboratory production of the narcotic drug "skunk" and a larger quantity of ammunition were found, and two individuals were arrested.

Searches of residential and accompanying facilities in Knjaza Miloša, Zmaj Ognjenog Vuka, and Marka Lipovca streets in Banja Luka, as well as in Jaružani, municipality of Laktaši, and searches of passenger vehicles 'Opel Astra' and 'Fiat Stilo', used by Đ.B. and D.V., both from Banja Luka, resulted in the discovery of equipment and materials for the laboratory production of the narcotic drug "skunk" (fans, lamps, wires, voltage regulators, humidity meters, precision scales, etc.), equipment for packaging narcotic drugs, a small amount of green plant material resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, 119 rounds of ammunition for automatic weapons caliber 7.62mm and 31 rounds of pistol ammunition caliber 7.62mm, as well as cash in the amount of 2990 BAM and 300 euros in various denominations, and other items that may be used in criminal proceedings (computers, mobile phones, SIM cards, etc.).

Đ.B. and D.V. were taken to the police station where they were processed. They were subsequently released. A report will be submitted to the District Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka against them for the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, it was announced from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.
