Banja Luka: Young man found dead on playground, killer behind bars

Nineteen-year-old A.R. was found dead on the playground of the "Jovan Cvijić" Elementary School in the Banja Luka settlement of Kočićev Vijenac, confirmed by the Banja Luka Public Security Center, reports the Patria News Agency.

Center spokesperson Marija Markanović said that the young man was found last night at 11:15 PM in Anđe Knežević Street, and that the investigation determined that the death occurred violently, meaning a murder had been committed.

According to her, the victim had multiple stab wounds to the chest.

She stated that the police immediately blocked off this part of the city and, at 1:20 AM, arrested nineteen-year-old A.M. from Banja Luka, who is suspected of committing the aforementioned crime.

A.M. is currently undergoing criminal processing, and further measures and actions will be carried out under the instructions of the duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka. An autopsy of the victim has also been ordered.
