
USKOK's request to return Milan Bandić to Remetinec and confiscate 15 million kuna in bail has been rejected. The Mayor of Zagreb thus remains at liberty, the County Court in Zagreb decided, reports the Patria News Agency.
On the USKOK website, it was announced that a new proposal had been filed for the collection of bail and the determination of pre-trial detention against the accused mayor of the City of Zagreb, Milan Bandić.
-The Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime, acting in accordance with the Constitutional Court's Decision no: U-III-1451/2015. of April 9, 2015, proposed to the County Court in Zagreb the determination of pre-trial detention against the accused mayor of the City of Zagreb and the collection of bail in the amount of 15 million kuna for the benefit of the state budget of Croatia”.
The proposal was filed considering that the accused acted contrary to the conditions of the bail decision and the promise given not to obstruct the criminal proceedings by influencing witnesses."
Bandić already continued with his rituals this morning, with journalists spotting him running, and last night he celebrated his release from prison with friends and lawyers.
