Bajrović: The world sided with the stronger, just like in the case of BiH!

(Patria) - The war in Gaza is more devastating and with incomparably more civilian casualties than in Ukraine.

Despite this, only certain countries are showing solidarity with the Palestinians. Many also poorly assess the reaction of Arab countries. Reuf Bajrović, president of the American-European Alliance, spoke about this, as well as other topics, on the show ‘7PLUS’ on Hayat TV.

The world is observing what it observed during the aggression against BiH. The world sided with the stronger. I am talking about governments, not citizens. We have a series of protests around the world, but that does not influence how Western countries view the situation on the ground.

They are ready to support the killing of civilians, children. Fewer children have been killed in Ukraine than in Gaza in less than a month. A sure beginning of the end of the story about International Humanitarian Law and everything else the world was based on. There is no doubt that Western countries know what is being done and are ready to agree to it because it is in their interest.

What all of this will change, I cannot say. Everything we have seen from Gaza has left such a mark on world public opinion. I am disappointed that even part of the Islamic world has sided with the killing of children. The West is completely on Israel's side. Macron publicly stated that the killing of children is not right. The masks have fallen. International norms, the UN, all of that is a story for children. The conclusion that Bosniaks should draw is that only the armed survive in the end – emphasizes Bajrović.

He also commented on the role of the UN, but also spoke about the power of Islamic countries. Bajrović believes that the UN is a sham for those who do not have the power to defend themselves, so they have the feeling that an organization supports them.

It is good to be a member of the UN. The UN is not a place where decisions are made. Decisions are made where the power is. Islamic countries are heterogeneous. Some are close to each other. You have countries that are strongly against Israel, like Iran. BiH is the only issue on which all these Islamic countries agree. Palestine is not that issue. The question of democracy arises. What would those countries do if they were democratic? We are in a position where the Troika has been imposed on us.

The West does not like what those peoples would want. That is why they are forbidden to vote. It is normal that those governments will not make decisions that are in the interest of those peoples. There are primitive military controls there. Except for Turkey, there is no other country in the Islamic world that has the possibility for the people to have their say in elections. Those peoples have no say. In no Islamic country do you have the possibility to vote seriously. It is in the interest of those elites to stand where their interests lie. One should not expect much from those countries – Bajrović believes.

He said how he sees the whole situation and whether we can only now see some changes in American policy, after the scale of the crimes in Gaza is immeasurable.

There are no changes. America's policy has been supporting Israel since the 1950s. People are protesting in favor of civilians. No one is afraid to come out and state their opinion. The targeted killing of the civilian population and their expulsion is a war crime. There are widespread and aggressive protests. People are not afraid to express their opinions. Hamas is an organization that killed civilians. The killing of thousands of civilians is unacceptable.

Large corporations are on Israel's side. This is the first time we have such mass killing of civilians by Israel. The same happened in BiH. We had an Israeli ambassador who acted as if they had some power to silence someone. We are on the side of justice.

We have historical experience that allows us to say that. It's about adhering to international standards. Let's not equate all Jews with what Netanyahu's government is doing. The image of Israel has changed – emphasized Bajrović.
