Bajro Ikanović killed on the battlefield in Iraq

Bajro Ikanović, one of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who went to the Syrian battlefield, was killed in clashes in Iraq a few days ago, reports the Patria news agency.

"According to the latest unconfirmed operational information, the said person was killed in the area of Iraq in recent days," SIPA said.

Ikanović had previously been the subject of a SIPA investigation, which on June 10, 2014 submitted a Report to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the committed criminal offense and the perpetrator due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense under Article 202d of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Organizing and belonging to a terrorist group).

According to official data, 45 Bosnian citizens have been killed on the Syrian battlefield so far, N1 reports.
