Bahtijar for NAP: Thompson's concert did not pass peacefully, thousands chanted for the Third Reich

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of HNK announced that the concert of Marko Perković Thompson in Mostar in support of six former Herceg-Bosna officials passed without incident.

Around 10,000 people gathered on Thursday evening at the Pod Bijelim Brijegom city stadium in Mostar, in support of six Herceg-Bosna officials who were provisionally sentenced by the Hague Tribunal in 2013 to prison terms of 10 to 25 years for crimes against Bosniaks during the war in BiH. It was precisely from the stadium where the concert was held that Bosniaks were taken to camps.

Ljudevit Marić, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of HNK, said that the concert passed without incident. 

Amer Bahtijar, a journalist for the portal Tačno.net from Mostar, does not think so. He told the Patria News Agency that during the concert, 10,000 people chanted for the Third Reich, which is more than an incident!

- In addition, the organizer stated during the concert that this is not only support for the six currently on trial in The Hague, but it is support for all those who have already been through the Hague Tribunal. Therefore, for convicted war criminals like Kordić and others – Bahtijar says, adding that such statements are terrifying. 

Thompson's concert in Mostar was held despite numerous condemnations. The concert was also condemned by the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in BiH (PIC). Previously, his concerts were banned in Slovenia and several other European Union member states.

On the other hand, the president of HDZ BiH and HNS, Dragan Čović, stated that he sees nothing wrong with Thompson holding a concert in Mostar, after which he said that HNS supported the organizers, writes NAP.
