Bahtijar: We have information that the attackers previously assaulted Velež players, we feel unsafe

Editor-in-chief of the portal tacno.net Štefica Galić and editor Amer Bahtijar were attacked after leaving a cinema hall where they were watching a film with a three-year-old girl, the granddaughter of the editor-in-chief, reports the Patria news agency.

Men in their 30s, unknown to them, encountered them, after which they started with insults that later escalated into an open threat, stating that because of what they write, they would end up like Professor Slavo Kukić, who was recently beaten in Mostar.

As Bahtijar told Patria, they are shocked by the attack and still do not have official confirmation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs about who the attackers are.

- Last night we were at the police station again and asked for the identity of the attackers, because we have the right to know who they are. However, there was real chaos there. Some said they didn't have CIPS (Central Register of Citizens), others that they did, and so on. We feel unsafe and don't know how to proceed – says Bahtijar.

On the other hand, people who witnessed this attack even sent photos from the scene and claimed that it was Josip Čuljak, and that the other attacker was a member of some security agency.

- People are speculating now, but we really don't know if that person is a member of SIPA or some other agency. We will see in the coming days what will happen. Also, we are receiving information that the attackers previously attacked Velež football players, but we really have no official information nor do we know the motive for the attack. They insulted us on a national basis, and later they also asked us if Tito was still alive – added Bahtijar.
