Babo is again tailoring the budget for himself, money laundering in Velika Kladuša through associations

Although accused of illegally passing the budget and allocating funds to the Association for the Protection of Unemployed Shareholders of "Agrokomerc", war criminal in the mayor's chair of Velika Kladuša, Fikret Abdić, wants to spend citizens' money unnecessarily again this year. The budget proposal no longer includes the controversial association, but Abdić has proposed increasing support for all associations by as much as four times.

- I have reason to suspect that the largest portion of funds from this grant will again go to the association that is practically under the control of the mayor and his close associates. This can only be prevented if the council has control over the distribution and expenditure of funds from this grant, believes the councilor of Our Party Zlatko Pajazetović.

Therefore, Pajazetović will seek the adoption of an amendment tomorrow that will allow the municipal council to approve funds instead of the mayor. This year's budget is planned in the amount of 16,544,572 KM, which is 10% more than last year's. Allocations for financing political parties have also been increased in the budget.

- This is shameful, especially at a time when many municipalities have reduced or even abolished allocations for political parties. On the other hand, the grant for youth projects is a shamefully small 10,000 KM. That is why I have submitted an amendment requesting that the allocation for political parties be reduced by 70,000 KM and that this money be redirected to the grant for youth projects, which should be renamed the grant for co-financing youth business projects, and the allocated funds should be distributed through a public call with clearly defined criteria for allocation and a professional commission for selecting the best business proposals, says Pajazetović.

The budget proposal for this year did not accept the opposition's proposals from public discussions, which related to the introduction of financing for the purchase of a fire truck, the sports association, schools in the municipality, the construction of a road to the city cemetery and the Drmaljevo cemetery, the castration and sterilization of stray dogs, the execution of court judgments that burden the Municipal budget, the marking of the 50th anniversary of NK "Mladost" Vrnograč, and for the work of the Association "We exist too". According to estimates, around 800,000 marks are needed for this, which is half of the grant for the utility company, which, according to the opposition, the mayor uses for vote-buying and crime.
