(Patria) - The portal „Istraga.ba“, edited by Avdo Avdić, published a text about the connections between High Representative Christian Schmidt and HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović, and has been taken down, making it currently inaccessible.
Journalist Avdo Avdić confirmed to Patria that the portal "Istraga.ba" was taken down this morning at 7 AM, and that the attack originated from a German web address.
"Also, the hosting for this site was in Germany. We are working on fixing the damage," Avdić stated.
The story about a German foundation, whose vice-president is Christian Schmidt, financing HDZ BiH, has caused reactions, but shortly after it was published, a hacker attack followed on the portal „Istraga.ba".
Somewhat earlier, Andre De Munter, Head of the Reference Unit for Enlargement, Western Europe and Cooperation in the European Parliament, stated on Twitter that there are many reasons why Schmidt should resign from his position.
As soon as the site is back online, a story about Schmidt's businesses in Serbia and Croatia will follow, announced the editorial office of the portal „Istraga.ba“.
