Avaz: Development Bank's Report Does Not Specify Recipients of 42.4 Million KM in Loans

(Patria) - The Development Bank of the Federation of BiH distributed 42,460,000 KM in loans in the first six months of this year, according to the bank's business report, which was adopted by the Supervisory Board four days ago.

Avaz writes that this is an internal document that was also sent to the members of the Bank's Management, which consists of officials from SDA and HDZ BiH. The Development Bank is headed by long-time SDA member Salko Selman. The newspaper states that it is currently unknown to whom the Development Bank's loans were distributed in an election year and which companies received the exceptionally favorable funds.

"The Bank is currently hiding information about whom they have allocated multi-million funds to... There is no information in the Report, nor is the FBiH Government, as the majority owner of the Development Bank, aware of this," Avaz reported, reminding that the Development Bank has previously distributed loans to private companies, some of whose employees are also members of the Development Bank's Supervisory Board, and that a large portion of these loans are currently unrecoverable.

The newspaper, in its Thursday edition, reminds that the Financial Police spent months at the Development Bank, from where they seized documentation on the bank's operations, and that the competent prosecutor's office may soon be informed about the irregularities, reports NAP.
