Author of the poem "Hava – Mother from Prijedor", his family involved in a traffic accident

Imam from Maljevci in Croatia, Admir Muhić, who became publicly known for the poem "Hava – Mother from Prijedor", was involved in a traffic accident in Velika Kladuša on Sunday, in which his family and he sustained minor injuries, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Muhić posted a photo of the damaged car on his Facebook profile, stating that his wife, children, and he were alive, with minor physical injuries.

- Thank you all for your words of support! I wish the driver I collided with in Velika Kladuša a speedy recovery as well. May God reward the driver who caused the accident and fled! I wish him a speedy recovery too, because that is called illness. He didn't even stop to ask how my family and I were, or to help us get out of the car, and I saved him from certain death at my own expense. God knows best! I am home with my family – Muhić wrote.

He became more widely known to the public in July this year, when during the burial of 284 victims of the last Serbian aggression against BiH, at the funeral held in Kozarac near Prijedor, he read his poem "Hava – Mother from Prijedor".

Hava Tatarević, an elderly woman from the village of Zecovi near Prijedor, buried six sons and her husband that day. They were killed by members of the Army of Republika Srpska and then buried in the Tomašica mass grave, where hundreds of other Bosniak and Croat bodies also lay. In his poem, Muhić called the elderly woman Tatarević a symbol of the Bosnian mother, a symbol of pain and suffering, writes NAP.
