Car plunges into Una River, two footballers die

(Patria) - A serious traffic accident occurred early this morning in Bosanska Otoka. A car went off the road and ended up in the Una River. There were five people in the car, and two died.

The tragic event was announced on the Facebook page of the GO SDP Bosanska Krupa.

- Dear friends, a tragedy occurred tonight in Bosanska Otoka. Five players of NK Sloga from Bosanska Otoka had a traffic accident and drove off the road next to the bridge in Bosanska Otoka. Three footballers managed to save themselves and get out of the vehicle, but unfortunately, our member and captain of Sloga, Nedžad Mujagić Džoni, employed at JKP "10. juli" who worked on collecting water bills, and Fajić Adnan, son of Fajić Rizah, a former Sloga footballer, who also wore the jersey of his beloved club and is currently employed at the Energopetrol gas station, remained in the water.

Water and underwater rescue teams and members of the Kayak Canoe Club Kormoran will work from the morning hours to retrieve the wreckage and the bodies of the deceased.

- May the deceased rest in peace, and today's planned gathering of members and sympathizers of GO SDP BiH scheduled for 12:00 PM in Šujnovac is postponed until further notice. Great sorrow, it is stated.
