Car with 8 young women veered off the road: Two killed, four seriously, two lightly injured

Two people were killed, four were seriously injured and two more were lightly injured in a horrific traffic accident that occurred twenty minutes past midnight on the Pula-Fažana road, just five hundred meters before the entrance to Fažana, the Istrian police reported tonight, reports the Patria News Agency. 

The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated, and the on-site investigation, which is ongoing, is being conducted by traffic police and the county state attorney.  The road is closed to traffic.

According to unofficial information, only one vehicle was involved in the accident. The injured persons were transported to the Pula General Hospital.

As Glas Istre learns, the accident occurred when a Citroen, carrying eight young women, was traveling towards Pula and, for reasons yet unknown, skidded in a slight left turn, crossed into the left, opposite lane while skidding, and hit a tree next to the road with its rear left side, then spun and stopped partially on the grassy 
surface.

Due to the force of the impact, one girl was thrown from the vehicle onto the grassy surface on the right side of the road and died at the scene, while the other deceased girl was next to the car.
