Autoceste FBiH: Works to begin on rehabilitation of A1 highway section Podlugovi – Sarajevo sjever

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Works on the rehabilitation of the pavement structure on the A1 highway section Podlugovi – Sarajevo sjever will begin on Thursday, August 1st.

The works will be carried out by the company Euro-asfalt d.o.o. Sarajevo, and supervision of the works will be performed by the consortium Modus Projekt d.o.o. Kakanj and AIK Inženjering d.o.o. Banovići, announced JP Autoceste FBiH.

As planned, the works will last 90 days and will be carried out in several phases.

In the first phase, starting on August 1, 2019, the traffic regime will be changed over a length of approximately 2 km, i.e., from km 56+900 to km 58+800. Vehicles traveling in the right lane
(direction Podlugovi – Sarajevo sjever) at station km 56+900 will be redirected to the left lane (direction Sarajevo sjever – Podlugovi), and traffic will flow in both directions in the left lane until km 58+800, after which traffic will proceed normally.

Citizens will be informed in a timely manner about any subsequent changes.

Drivers are urged to comply with the temporarily installed traffic signage, especially the speed limit, in order not to endanger their own safety or the safety of other road users on the highway.
