Autoceste FBiH from Day One in Rescue and Aid Operations!

Autoceste FBiH, from the moment of the major floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has placed all its human and material resources at the disposal of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, it was announced, reports the BH News Agency Patria (NAP).

- Free passage for vehicles carrying aid to endangered parts of BiH was immediately provided on the A1 highway: for the Federal Civil Protection Administration, the Armed Forces of BiH, mountain rescue services, rafting clubs from all over BiH, humanitarian organizations, individual groups of citizens transporting aid to affected areas, as well as for vehicles directly or indirectly involved in the evacuation of the local population. JP Autoceste FBiH has placed all its machinery from six construction sites at the disposal of the Federal and Cantonal Civil Protection Administrations, as well as the local population, to help in damage repair – it was stated.

To help JP Željeznice FBiH, they state, they are engaged in clearing the railway track on the Kakanj – Zenica section.

- In Modrinje, earth that had blocked the road communication in populated areas due to a landslide was removed. In Lučani, landslip damage is being repaired. In Kakanj, on the Zgošća River, the river overflowing its banks is being repaired, as well as other work to mitigate damage to facilities in the populated area. Aid was delivered to the population in the municipalities of Maglaj, Janja, and Zavidovići using trucks from contractors. Trucks and excavators from contractors are also engaged to repair damage in the area of the municipality of Kakanj – it was emphasized.

The road communication from Bojnik via the highway to Vlakovo and Osijek is continuously kept passable. Channels and watercourses in Vlakovo, Gladno Polje, Šamin Gaj, and Lepenica have been cleared.
