(Patria) - The White House announced that Australia and the United States will spend billions of dollars in the coming years on key mining projects, defense systems, and other investments as part of an agreement signed by the leaders of the two countries on Monday, Reuters reported.
According to the agreement, both countries will invest more than three billion dollars in key mineral projects within the next six months, while the Pentagon will invest in a Gallium refinery in Australia, according to a White House fact sheet.
Australia will also increase its total investments in the United States by nearly one billion dollars, reaching $1.44 billion by 2035.
