
(Patria) - Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was wounded in a shooting in Handlová, a town in the central part of the country where the government held a session today.
According to Dennik, Fico was urgently transferred to the hospital, and the suspected attacker has been apprehended.
According to initial information, several shots were fired, but it is not yet clear how many hit the Slovak Prime Minister.
The parliamentary session was interrupted after this event, and numerous politicians, including President Zuzana Čaputová, have reacted.
Everything happened immediately after the government session, when Fico went out among the people gathered in front of the building where the meeting was held.
