AS Holding increased exports by 11 percent, with constant growth in Western Europe and North America

(Patria) - AS Holding companies increased exports by 11 percent in the past year 2020 compared to 2019. The best results were achieved by Zlatna džezva, Tuzlanska so, KENT confectionery products, Zlatni puder flour and Klas jufke, as well as TOPS and OAZA. AS Holding brands achieved the highest growth in the markets of Germany, the United States of America, Austria, Scandinavia, and Great Britain.

"The markets of Western Europe and North America have seen constant growth. In the last two years, we have been receiving more and more inquiries for our products from existing and potential markets. We are becoming recognized for our quality, but also for our responsible work with distributors. We take care of every detail and all products from raw material procurement to the consumption by the end consumer, which is recognized in more than thirty countries on five continents where we export our products. All our food division members Vispak, Solana Tuzla, Klas, AS Jelah, AC Food, Oaza, are reporting export growth.

It is particularly encouraging that our Bosnian Cuisine program and our brands that cherish our tradition are increasingly finding fans and consumers in foreign markets who are not necessarily from these regions. For example, Vispak's Zlatna džezva is second in sales in the traditional coffee category in Slovenia. We believe there is huge potential in this direction, and that our competencies and market positions are strengthening in this regard year after year," said Rusmir Hrvić, President of the Management Board of AS Holding.

In 2021, AS Holding expects a gradual normalization of the market starting from the second quarter, after all the negative consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus remains on strengthening positions in existing markets, as well as opening new markets in Eastern Europe and North Africa.

The exit of Great Britain from the EU and the lack of timely reaction from the BiH state authorities have led to us not having a signed Free Trade Agreement, where we were met with taxes on January 1st. The newly created situation partially disrupts our plans and threatens positions built over the past twenty years," AS Holding stated.
