Arnaut: Foreign judges must not leave until BiH joins NATO

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Damir Arnaut, a Member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament and a lawyer, stated that the non-implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH is a criminal offense, but that he has not seen any reaction from the competent institutions so far. 

"I haven't seen any reaction so far, you have to ask them why there wasn't one," Arnaut said. He clarified that if the threat is realized and two judges from the RS withdraw from the Constitutional Court of BiH, the Constitutional Court of BiH will continue to operate.

"I hope that will not happen, but there is no obstacle to the Court's work," Arnaut said.

He emphasized that the announcements by politicians from the RS regarding the blocking of BiH institutions are completely unconstitutional, especially the conditioning of the functioning of BiH institutions on the departure of foreign judges.

"Foreign judges are a Dayton category, just like entity voting and everything else from the BiH Constitution. My position is that their departure should not even be considered until BiH joins NATO," Arnaut said.
