Armin Berberović's detention extended for another two months

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has extended the detention of Armin Berberović for another two months, suspected of hitting three girls with a car at a pedestrian crossing in Sarajevo, one of whom, Azra Spahić, died at the scene, while Alma Suljić died almost a month later from her injuries, the court stated.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo to extend the detention due to the risk that Berberović's release could cause public unrest.

The traffic accident, in which Azra Spahić died and two other girls were injured, occurred on May 26 around 11:30 PM at Marijin Dvor.

Alma Suljić (26) died from her injuries on June 22 at the Sarajevo Clinical Center.

It was determined that Berberović was driving without a driver's license and under the influence of alcohol.

Berberović is suspected of a serious offense against public traffic safety.
