Arab Coalition: Shipment Arriving from UAE to Yemen Contained Weapons and Ammunition

(Patria) - The Arab Coalition announced on Tuesday that a shipment arriving from the United Arab Emirates to the southern Yemeni port of Mukalla contained containers full of weapons and ammunition, Al Arabiya reported last night.

The statement came in response to a statement by the United Arab Emirates stating that the disputed shipment did not contain weapons and was intended for Emirati forces.

The coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, announced that it has information that such weapons will be transported and distributed to locations in the Yemeni region of Hadramaut.

Let us recall, Saudi Arabia carried out airstrikes on the aforementioned port on Tuesday, under the pretext that the weapons would fall into the hands of forces fighting against the internationally recognized Yemeni government supported by Saudi Arabia.
